SOOP 1.5 Upgrade
In order to upgrade your existing portal and or your WWF7.7 Forum to SOOP 1.50 you first will have to migrate your database. To do this you will need to use the migration files placed in the root of the zip file. These files are:
  1. migrate140-150.asp This file is for access database migration of Soop Versions 1.36+ to Soop 1.50
  2. migratewwf77a-150.asp This file is for access database migration of WWF7.7+ Forum to SOOP 1.50
  3. migrate_default_data.asp This file contains default settings and is used by both of the above files.

WWF Migration (Access Version):
If you are upgrading from wwf make a copy of your database and name it wwforum.mdb as the migration script expects it to be that name. Place the migration scripts and your database that you just renamed in a directory that you can call from the web. and run the wwf migration script. If you get errors and the migration fails, you will need a fresh copy of the database to try again. If the migration of the database is successfull then follow the installation procedure outlined above for access version. Backup your existing files and remove any scripts from you current site and upload the new files. Note if you have had any modifications to WWF code, you will loose them with SOOP 1.50.

SOOP 1.36+ Migration (Access Version):
If you are upgrading from earlier SOOP versions make a copy of your database and name it soop.mdb as the migration script expects it to be that name. Place the migration scripts and your database that you just renamed in a directory that you can call from the web. and run the soop migration script. If you get errors and the migration fails, you will need a fresh copy of the database to try again. If the migration of the database is successfull then follow the installation procedure outlined above for access version. Backup your existing files and remove any scripts from you current site and upload the new files. If you had any thrid party applications configured to run with your previous version of SOOP, more then likely you will have to reconfigure them to run with SOOP 1.50.
